So I wouldn’t eat there but if you just wanted to drink you should be fine. And our water pitcher at the table had an ant in it so we lost our appetite but our drinks from the bar were good. My fiancée got the meatballs and the cheese that was on was like plastic(like they couldn’t put in back in the oven to broil the cheese) and the pan that they came out in was burning hot but the meatballs were lukewarm. We did have dinner at the restaurant on the first floor though, and I would not recommend the food. We weren’t able to go to the rooftop bar as it was closed due to the weather which stunk because that was why we went with indigo. Book hotels direct at ihg.com/hotelindigo for our lowest rates. There was a corner of the room with an accent chair and I noticed that the paint of the wall just stopped right below the top of the chair because they were too lazy to move the chair to paint the entirety of the wall. They also don’t have a parking lot so you’d have to valet your car to make sure it doesn’t get towed, that is $12 a day to have. No fridge or microwave even though the rooms had plenty of space. Our room was beautiful, we were facing the lake so the traffic was loud but I was fine with it, if you’re not able to sleep with that don’t get a lake side room. There is a cool rooftop bar with awesome view of the lake, very pedestrian drinks, at times crowded and loud, but not totally unexpected considering our whereabouts and the time of year. H&L Social will be ready for a soft opening this Sunday from 11-11pm. I was disappointed that there was not a refrigerator in the room. Join us for brunch on the rooftop Looks like the weather will be beautiful. Breakfast was better than average for a complimentary hotel breakfast. I did however, enjoy the walk-in tiled shower with Aveda products and the overall style of the hotel. Regretfully, I did not get a good nights sleep. Shoals Bar and Kitchen is on the first floor of Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa, open for breakfast and dinner service. At first glance when I entered the room I was pleased to see some view of the lake, but quickly realized that also meant we had a view of traffic as we were along side the highway, and that could be heard at a level that felt as if we were outside. The Lookout is located on the rooftop of the Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa. I have never been in a hotel anywhere where I could hear traffic inside our room like this. The biggest reason for that is the level of noise. I was really looking forward to our stay here and hopeful that we might have found a new “go to” place in Traverse City, but unfortunately we won’t be going back.
